Asafo by Amechi at The Hoxton, Southwark

London, UK – Amechi, a London-based design brand, has unveiled its latest collection, Asafo. Inspired by the vibrant Asafo flags of the Fante people of Ghana, this collection features five jacquard-woven blankets that celebrate African heritage and culture.

Amechi, founded by Cameroon-born designer Amechi Mandi, is known for its unique approach to design, drawing inspiration from indigenous African traditions. The Asafo collection is a testament to this commitment, blending traditional aesthetics with contemporary style.

Each blanket in the Asafo collection tells a story, woven with humour and designed to spark curiosity. The playful designs aim to evoke the same wonder and intrigue that Asafo flags have inspired for centuries.

Beyond their aesthetic appeal, the Asafo blankets are also practical and versatile, making them perfect for home décor, picnics, or simply cozying up. They are easy to care for and add a touch of African flair to any space.

The Asafo collection will be on display at The Hoxton, Southwark, during London Design Festival, from 14th to 22nd September.
